Explanation (?):

The DHCP Client service is used in negotiating with a DHCP Server the IP address that should be assigned to a machine. If set to a static address the client service will ask the DHCP server to register or manually do it if the server does not know how. If set to dynamic the client server will request an IP address and negotiate the responsibility for updating the DNS records with the server. This service is very important and should not be set to disabled unless you are using a protocol that does not require it. If set to manual the service will activate if is required.
